ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES: Pollution of parks, grassground and streets

 I currently live in the city of Bogotá in the Villa Claudia neighborhood.

In this neighborhood it has been seen that in many homes people tend to have pets, many have enjoyed the company of animals that have been dogs in particular, however, the parks, green areas, streets and grassground remain dirty, with bad odors contaminated by the feces of said animals. The owners of these animals usually do not have the education to collect and have good management of the waste produced by their pets.

This situation is presented at a general level in the city despite the sanctions that the new police code has implemented for this action or situation.

According to my view, the high amount of pet waste in the environment is causing three serious problems:

Pedestrian mobility

 People who move daily are exposed to dirty shoes because of the dirt of pets, children dirty their clothes and even people fall when stepping on the feces.

In my opinion,   it is annoying for people to find pet feces in parks and many times it is a cause of bad mood for those who have suffered from the situations mentioned.

Bad smells

Normally people take their pets to the parks or grasstground , and there they do their physiological needs. However, not all people collect feces and as it is constant urine smells and pet feces intensify which is an aspect not pleasant for people who travel daily. I think that is important to start campaigns to raise awareness and be more educated with your pets.

Diseases:

The urine and feces of dogs are a cause of diseases to humans and the same pets. mainly paracitos produced by dogs can generate from digestive infections to visual loss.

I personally believe that these diseases have a great risk to human health and periodic vaccination and periodicization campaigns should be promoted.

to be honest the present environmental problem is only caused by the lack of education of the majority of people who own pets.
